Yogyakarta: Day 2 - Keraton Surakarta

Hai. Day two of our trip. Today we're going to next town, Solo for shopping!! So excited. Starts our day with breakfast at hotel cafe Omak Nenek Resto. Today's menu Nasi Lemak with sambal telur and toasted bread.

Inside the cafe.

Sambal telur.

Just a simple placing.

SAAK with sQ.

I think sQ is jetleg. She seems tired.

Our journey from Yogya to Solo took about 2 hours. Supir pick us at 7.30 am. He is very punctual. We agreed to meet at at 8.00 but at 7.30 he's already here.

On our way to Solo, I asked our supir if he could show us Candi Perambanan. So, with pleasure he took us there. We just look at this candi from outside. To get inside you have to pay USD 18 per person.

There are so many candi at Yogyakarta. This is one of the famous candi here. Candi Perambanan. Just half an hour from our hotel.

This picture is from Mr. Google.

This is another candi. I don't remember it's name.

You can see that the small candi has fall apart due to volcano eruption on 2006. (I think!)

They even have CIMB at Indonesia.

Before shopping, our supir brought us here first. Keraton Surakarta.

This is the main lobby of Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat. This keraton or palace is still used by the royal.

Pay the respect. No shoes allowed.

Picture moment.

This main lobby is place with local musical instrument. They even have their practice day, but I don't recall what day.

We are not allowed to snap picture inside the main castle. But from our palace guide we know lots of things. The history and their culture. You know what! "Sima" in javanese language is pronounced as "Simo" is called TIGER. ^_^

 Our Simo!
Souvenir shop.

This is our palace guide. Tuty. She is very good in explaining the palace history.

sQ and SAAK.

Nenek is tired after a long walk.

Yogyakarta: Day 2 - Pasar Klewer

Still on our 2nd day, but the post had to divided into 2 parts. :)
After visiting Keraton Surakarta. We head straight to the main point which is Pasar Klewer.
The place is just like Pasar Besar, Perlis. Cramp and hot!

Not much to say. Just enjoy the picture credit to SAAK.

Whale of a Time

sQ seating at every shop's chair.

The end. Enough shopping.

Back to Yogya, the rain had pour. What a relief. It's been a hot and tired day yet so much fun.
This is a street beggar. Instead of just beg, they do performance.
Not to worry, that is the supir job to pay them.
