AQUASCAPING

SAAK and I baru jer tahu pasal aquascaping ni masa pergi kedai aquarium di Anggun, Rawang. Siap SAAK tak jadi nak beli gadget sebab nak deco aquarium dia cam kat kedai tu. To my new knowledge, rupanya aquascaping dah lama ada.. siap ada pertandingan lagi!! 

What is aquascaping? Aquascaping adalah seni lanskap dalam akuarium. Memang cool giler and tenang jer bila melihat flora dan fauna.

Bersediakah aku?

Menjadi tetamu Allah adalah merupakan inpian setiap insan. Walau bagaimanapun tidak semua berkesempatan intuk menjadi tetamu pilihan. Ada di antara kita yang punyai banyak wang, tetapi tidak punyai masa. Ada yang punyai keinginan tetapi kurang sember kewangan. Malah ada yang ada wang dan masa, tetapi hati tidak terbuka untuk ke sana. Hanya mereka yang telah terima kad jemputan sahaja yang akan menjejakkan kaki ke Tanah Suci.

Alhamdullilah, dengan izinNya kami sekeluarga bersama ibu mertua akan menjadi tetamu Allah pada bulan hadapan. Seakan-akan tidak percaya aku akan menjejaki kaki di Tanah Suci. Atas cadangan adik ipar, kami memilih Tiram Travel sebagai agen Umrah kami. 

Persiapan untuk memohon VISA telah kami lengkapkan dan telah pun serah kepada pegawai Tiram Travel untuk diuruskan. Antara perkara yang harus dilakukan ialah: 

• Gambar umrah 4 keping (ikut spesifikasi yang telah ditetapkan). Pastikan wanita pakai tudung gelap dan lelaki tidak bersongkok/kopiah.
• Suntikan vaksin meningitis. Pastikan dahulu samada klinik tersebut sediakan buku suntikan atau borang sahaja. Yang paling diperakui ialah buku suntikan yang berwarna oren.
• Pengesahan salinan sijil nikah. Ini perlu kerana aku wanita yang bermahramkan suami. Salinan tersebut perlu disahkan oleh Jabatan Agama.
• Pengesahan salinan sijil kelahiran. Bagi wanita yang dibawah umur 45 tahun dan lelaki dibawah umur 18 tahun yang bermahramkan bapa (bagi kes aku - anak perempuanku, salinan sijil lahir boleh disahkan dimana-mana Pejabat Pendaftaran. (Mak mertua sudah melebihi umur 45 tahun, maka tidak perlu ada mahram).
• Passport antarabangsa pula mestilah mempunyai tempoh sah laku melebihi 6 bulan pada tarikh berlepas dan mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya 4 muka surat kosong.

Kurang dari sebulan untuk kami berangkat, persiapan fisikal dan mental adalah yang paling penting. Aku banyak membaca blog-blog dan buku panduan sebagai persiapan diri. Dari segi fisikal, SAAK telah paksa untuk kayuh basikal untuk kekuatan diri. Cuma akhir-akhir ini kami agak sibuk ketika hujung minggu. Jadi aku akan cuba pastikan untuk bersenam walaupun sekejap. 

Perasaan takut dan risau haruslah aku buang ke tepi untuk menjadi tetamu Allah. Doakan kami semoga mendapat Umrah yang Mabrurllah, In sha Allah.

DORAEMON Secret Gadget Expo

Bulan lepas, SAAK kasi tugasan untuk siasat tentang ekspo DORAEMON, tapi hari ni jer cam senang skit nak mencari kat Internet. Baru jer tengok gambar, perasaan excited tu dah membuak-buak. Sama cam pergi Hello Kitty Town dulu. Hmm.. cam mana la agaknya bila dah pergi tengok sendiri nanti.

Kenapa excited?? Sebab aku membesar dengan cerita DORAEMON. Masa grew up di Taiwan, aku tak panggil DORAEMON, di sana dikenali sebagai SHAU TIN TANG. So TV series pun follow, comic dia pun aku follow juga. So this character really brings back old memories. 

Ekspo ni sekejap jer tau.. So kalau ada peluang, bawa la family have fun there. Details are as below:

UTA Flight 772

Another link received from SAAK. I am sure not many of us know about this incident. So new knowledge for 2014, please read and share.

A friend told me to go to a certain latitude and longitude on Google Maps. When I noticed it seemed to be in the middle of an African desert, I thought he was just sending nonsense. But when I zoomed in, my mind was blown. I noticed a tiny icon that looked like an airplane.

So I did some more research and discovered there’s an incredibly tragic and beautiful story behind it. Here it is, from start to finish.

UTA Flight 772 was a scheduled flight operating from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris CDG airport in France.

Eighteen years later, families of the victims gathered at the crash site to build a memorial.

Due to the remoteness of the location, pieces of the wreckage could still be found at the site.

The memorial was created by Les Familles de l’Attentat du DC-10 d’UTA, an association of the victims’ families along with the help of local inhabitants.

The memorial was built mostly by hand and uses dark stones to create a 200-foot diameter circle

The Tenere region is one of the most inaccessible places on the planet. The stones were trucked to the site from over 70 kilometers away.

The memorial was built over the course of two months in May and June of 2007.

170 broken mirrors, representing each victim, were placed around the circumference of the memorial.

The memorial is anchored by the starboard wing of the aircraft which was trucked to the site from 10 miles away. Workers had to dig up the wing and empty it of sand.

The memorial was partly funded by the $170 million compensation package provided by the Libyan government.

The memorial can be seen from Google Earth and Google Maps.

Six Libyans were ultimately convicted of this terrorist attack. They used a suitcase bomb to blow up the plane, which resulted in 155 passengers and 15 crew members meeting their demise.

Even in the face of this tragedy, the families constructed this beautiful memorial to never forget what happened. They will live on in their hearts, in the desert, and even on Google Earth forever.
